Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce

Position: Program & Administrative Services Director

Location: Office environment with time at event and member locations, Eau Claire, WI

Status: Exempt

Reports to: President

Position Requirements and Qualifications: College degree or equivalent. Chamber of commerce or association experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills, organizational skills, ability to manage time and volunteers, ability to work with members, committees and staff, and financial management experience.

Primary Responsibilities: To develop, plan, coordinate and implement activities and programs as directed by the president, which will meet the goals and objectives of the Chamber, increase member participation and support membership growth and retention. Responsible for developing committee budgets, providing a complete accounting for each program, increasing member involvement and maintaining appropriate records of activities.

Specific Duties

1.  Serves as the Team Leader for the Staff Assistant & Administrative Assistant.

2.  Manage and direct the Leadership Eau Claire™ program. Work with the program’s Executive Committee to establish and accomplish the goals. Responsible for administration, development of leadership components, Curriculum Committee, recruitment of participants and fiscal management of the program.

3.  Responsible for organization and management of all Leadership Eau Claire Alumni activities including Annual Leadership Eau Claire Alumni Luncheon.

4.  Manage and direct the Youth Leadership Eau Claire program. Work with the program’s Executive Committee to establish and accomplish the goals. Responsible for administration, development of leadership components, Curriculum Committee, recruitment of participants and fiscal management of the program.

5.  Serve as staff liaison for the Business Expo Committee. Responsible for organizing the annual event to include soliciting exhibitors and sponsors, arranging advertising, coordinating print materials, logistics and overall fiscal management of the event.

6.  Serve as staff liaison for the Excellence in Education Committee. Responsible for organizing the annual banquet, including soliciting sponsors, communicating with participating schools and honorees, selecting a keynote speaker, logistics and the overall fiscal management of the event.

7.  Coordinate and facilitate seminars and programs with the Business Council, utilizing local resources and in cooperation with the member educational institutions and as deemed necessary by the Chamber.

8.  Coordinate the Leadership Success Series, Lunch & Learn series and annual Social Media Conference.

9.  Coordinate the annual UW-Eau Claire Freshmen Welcome Bags, including soliciting advertisers and volunteers for the project.

10.  Survey members to solicit feedback on topics of interest.

11.  Write and edit the annual Business Hall of Fame publication.

12.  Serve as support staff for other committees as deemed necessary by the president.

13.  Coordinate special activities, programs and projects, as required.

Secondary Responsibilities:

1.  Coordinate appropriate training needs for support staff, Leadership Eau Claire and volunteers.

2.  Operate office equipment, including computers.

3.  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the president of the Chamber.
