These include community health, district nursing, Homecare and Volunteers

PRIMARY CARE MANAGER

ROLE SUMMARY

/ The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and support for the work of the primary care staff team.,
The Manager is responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality primary care services in keeping with principles of client centred collaborative care.
The position will be responsible for facilitating operational management of clinical services, developing integrated working and partnerships,
ensure quality service delivery, continuation of accreditation status, risk management and ongoing development
of services across the sector.
The Primary Care Manager directs supervision for the primary care staff team: currently compromised of District Nurses, Allied Health, Allied Health Assistants, Intake Officer, Health Promotion, Home Care staff, Volunteers.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

/
  • Professional qualification in either allied health ornursing discipline
  • Experience in managing services includingbudget/financial management
  • Experience in staff management
  • Experience in quality and risk management systems andreporting
  • Current professional registration with the AustralianHealth Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) orother relevant body entitling practice in Victoria
  • Demonstrated change management skills andexperience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operational management of Primary Care services
  • Determination of annual budget
  • Monitoring of annual budget; monitoring of expenditures on a monthly basis
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety policies and practices
  • Management of all Primary Care staff (Allied Health, Health Promotion, District Nursing, Home Care/Volunteer staff)
  • Maintain and develop relationships with sector agencies
  • Ensures all reporting in completed within the required timeframes.
  • Represents Indigo North Health at various external meetings/forums.
  • Ensure quality service delivery
