POSITION:Associate Degree Nursing Instructor, Full-time(12 month position)

LOCATION: Clarkesville Campus

Description

Provide instruction in the theory and practical application of Nursing. Organize and conduct classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities that include lecture and lab materials. Instructional duties include course design, development of lesson plans, instruction, assessment, and evaluation with efficient maintenance of classroom records. Duties also include student advisement, participation in college committees, and participation in professional development. Must have computer knowledge and experience including the use of Microsoft Office software. Faculty teaching in the Associate of Science Nursing Program must be prepared and physically able to teach at clinical sites.

  • Teaching may be required between Clarkesville and Blairsville campuses.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and a current Georgia RN license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in an Associate degree nursing program
  • Minimum three (3) years of full-time, infield work experience within the past seven (7) years
  • Experience using simulation equipment for nursing education.

Salary/Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include retirement, paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
