Portfolio Information

Each student must set-up and maintain a portfolio to use as the main portion of their final exam. This portfolio will give the teacher a better view of the students overall performance in class on a day to day basis than a test ever will. While there will be a Final Exam used as part of the Final Grade process, the Portfolio will carry approximately 70% of points.

Each student should get an 1 ½ inch view binder to use as a Portfolio for this class. All Portfolio related assignments will be designed to fit into that format and type of binder. **If this presents a problem for you please see me privately**

Each student will need to purchase or otherwise create 5 binder dividers to help organize and separate the work for their Portfolio.

The five (5) categories for organization are as follows:

  1. General Information
  2. Projects and Assignments
  3. Tests, Quizzes, Assessments and Rubrics
  4. Notes and Objectives
  5. Vocabulary

Portfolios should be kept at home and all papers given in class and generated by the students for class should be saved in this Portfolio. Do not throw anything away you may need it for your final exam.

Frequently updating and saving papers in this Portfolio will help you ensure that you Final Exam grade is safely and productively in the best condition that it can be.Your grade here is in your hands.
