It’s nearly that time of the year again!!
All clubs and recreational anglers are hereby invited to participate in the 26thTuna Classic, to be held from PEDSAC – Port Elizabeth Harbour.
Details are as follows:-
Dates: / Registration – 19thApril 2018. Fishing 20 – 22April 2018.Venue: / PEDSAC – Port Elizabeth Harbour
Line Class: / Open Class – IGFA Rules apply.
Representation: / Fully paid and entered anglers only.
The organising committee can assist in finding local boat owners to accommodate individuals or teamsif required.
Rules: / Rules and regulations will be posted on our website and supplied to all participants on day of registration.
Registration: / Registration will take place at the PEDSAC clubhouse on the 19th April 2018 between 17:00 and 18:30.
All teams must register and complete indemnity forms.
Briefing: / Briefing will take place at the PEDSAC clubhouse on the 19th April 2018at 19h00.
Prize Giving: / Will take place in the WHEELHOUSEon the 22ndApril 2017at 19h00 or18:00 should the last day be cancelled due to inclement weather.
It is mandatory that all teams are present at these two functions
Daily weigh-in: / Scales will open between 15h00 and18h00each day or otherwise as agreed and confirmed by the Adjudicating Committee.
Entry fees: / R500-00 per person.
All accommodation, food / meals, fuel and bait for your own account.
We can put entrants in touch with local boat owners for those who do not want to transport their boats from out of town. Please contact us well in advance.
Tackle scrutiny: / Random checks at the discretion of the Tournament Organising Committee.
Closing date for entries: / 12thApril 2018.
Late entries:Will be accepted prior to registration on the 19thApril. Boat goodie bags and shirts cannot be guaranteed for late entrants.

All entries are to be received on the attached entry forms.
Target Species: / Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna. (Secondary) Marlin, Dorado, Bonito and Broadbill.
Minimum Seize: Yellowfin / Big eye Tuna 15kg.
Marlin: 80kg.
Dorado and Bonito / Skipjacks minimum sizes: Subject to confirmation.
Bait: / Bait can be purchased from harbour bait outlets.
Accommodation / Out of Town Teams are responsible for arranging and settling accounts for their own accommodation.

In respect of the participation in the abovementioned tournament as organization by The Port Elizabeth Deep Sea Angling Club, we the undersigned:
Record that, knowing full well that it may be dangerous to do so, participate in theTUNA CLASSIC taking place from the 19-22 April.We expressly agree to indemnify the PORT ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING CLUB, its members, employees, the owners of the Ski Boat’s and / or assigns and allSPONSORS of the tournament from being held responsible or liable for any damage, death, loss or injury,directly or indirectly, consequential or otherwise, arising from our participation in theTUNA CLASSIC.
I accordingly irrevocably indemnify the PORT ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING, the owners of the Ski Boats and / or assigns and all SPONSORS of the tournament from any claim/s for damages or otherwise which we, or our dependants, our estate and successors in title, may suffer arising from or caused by the fault in any degree of the said PORT ELIZABETH DEEP SEA ANGLING CLUB and owners of Ski boat’s and/or assigns and all SPONSORS of thetournament.
