Please consider this your invitation to the Porcupine Hills Shadow Rider’s Sixth Annual Show Down on the Old Macleod Trail. Main Match will be held August 26 & 27 but you are welcome to arrive the day before and dry camp if you like. FRIDAY AFTERNOON of August 25 you can participate in our side matches plus our famous pot luck supper (made famous by our Cowboy Shooters and their partners who provide the wonderful dishes) and our swap meet. Advance registration is recommended & preferred but we will accept all shooters to our limit. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE MUST LIMIT OURSELVES TO THE FIRST 80 SHOOTERS.
We will have a safety meeting at 9:00 AM on Saturday and all shooters must be present. Shooting will start after meeting. SASS rules will apply. We will shoot 6 stages on Saturday plus the team shoot. The team shoot will be held on Saturday afternoon. Teams of three will be drawn out of a hat so please remember to check off your participation on the above form. Particulars will be explained at the time and anyone can enter at no additional charge.
Shooters will also have a BBQ STEAK SUPPER included with their shoot fee and extra meals can be purchased for $15.00 per person. We will have water and coffee available and if you would like something stronger please bring it along with a lawn chair to sit on. We will make side match presentations after the supper. Sunday’s action will start at 9:00 AM, followed by a light lunch served while we wait for the scores to be tallied. Presentations will be made as soon as humanly possible after this.
DIRECTIONS TO WILLOW LANE RANCH: We are located 5.5 miles west (10 km) of junction Highway #2 and Highway 519, which is just west of Granum, Alberta or 24 km north of Fort Macleod or 87 km south of High River, Alberta. The road on the west side of Highway 2 is TWP 110 which you follow for 10 km. At the 10km mark is a black silhouette sign that says Willow Lane Ranch 1 km with an arrow pointing north. This is RR 275 north (not to be mistaken for RR 275 south which is 1 mile before) and the same silhouette sign is at our gate. Turn west onto the ranch road and follow it to the rest of the campers and shooters. (about an eighth of a mile).

Cost per shooter is $60.00 for the weekend or $40.00 for Saturday (includes meal) or $35.00 for Sunday.
