A brief description of the project ideas
Innovative ecosystem for lake management (for the lake Šmartinsko jezero and lakes of other cooperative LAGs):
-  Network connection of local providers (those with interest for tourism and other services for guests around the lake) and standardization of local offer.
-  Lake management plan (with included natural values, lake ecosystem, public infrastructure, brand …).
-  Education of young project managers (young people with interest for development of infrastructure and offer).
-  Develompmet of tools for communication.
The goal of the project is to encourage local population to start thinking about the potential development around the lake.
Local self-sufficiency and gastonomy
Farms in the LAG area should provide more local food for population (consumers, school and public kitchen, restaurants…). The aim of the project should be organization of the farmers, their education about the possibilities of local food marketing, standardization of the products, education of the consumers and purchase staff in local kitchens (so they could recognize the benefits of buying and eating local food). We would also like to include typical local food into modern gastronomy of the area (to find traditional local meals and include them in culinary offer of the restaurants, schools…).
We are still looking for interested LAGs and ideas to include then into the project of cooperation.

LAG Countryside Diversity contains an area of municipality Celje and 3 local communities: Laško, Štore and Vojnik. The surface of the area is 394 km2 with approximately 37.000 people living there. LAG has 57 members (communities, public institutions, companies, societies and persons). Local development strategy contains four main areas for project activities: new jobs, infrastructure, nature and environment, vulnerable groups.
