International School Dhaka:
Policy for bake sale (or other food sale event)
Bake sales can be a valuable learning opportunity and fundraising event. Before organizing a bake sale, read the following document carefully and complete all necessary items to plan your event.
You, the organizer, should know that:
The teacher supervisor must be in attendance and actively monitoring the event for the entire duration.
Organizers are required to submit a detailed proposal to the relevant individuals (see below for details) at least two weeks before the event is to take place.
Activities must be approved before advertisements can be posted.
Organizers will submit a detailed budget no later than one week before the event is to take place.
Organizers will submit a detailed list of all funds raised no later than one week after the event to the teaching staff supervisor.
All items sold must be made by the students (ie. Baked goods, smoothies, etc.). Store bought items are not acceptable as they do not provide the same learning experience
o 100% of funds raised are to go to the organization. Supplies to make the items can be considered as charitable donations.
Organizers must clearly present the name of the organization to receive the funds and purpose of that organization to raise awareness.
Money raised must be presented to a representative, or representatives, of the organization in an assembly within one month of completing the event.
