INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF MIXING SPOTS

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS

LOCATION OF THE MIXING SYSTEM:

·  Clean room, free from dust and other impurities

·  If possible, the room should be separated or subdivided e.g. with a panel in order to prevent access to unauthorized persons

·  Minimal room temperature 15°C

·  Relative air humidity 10-80%

·  A dispenser should be mounted on the flat and solid grounds

·  Location at the window or direct exposure to sun is not recommended due to high summer temperatures, which cause drying of tinting pastes in canisters

ELEKTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

·  A dispenser must have its own source of power supply (also the shaker) with its own fuse and proper earthing

·  Elecrical power supply 220-240 V, fuse 10 A

·  For the operation of mixing unit do not use an extension

·  A lightning strike can damage the mixing unit so in the event of such weather turn off the mixing unit temporarily

OPERATING THE MIXING UNIT:

·  Only the person trained by HELIOS representative may operate the mixing unit.

·  The access inside the mixing unit is not allowed, only exceptionally with approval by service department of Helios

·  The computer connected with mixing unit is intended exclusively for operating the mixing unit. Changes in configuration and installation of other programmes are not allowed

·  In case that the customer provides the computer by himself, Helios is not responsible for its operating and setting of configuration and installation of suitable programmes (eg. Windows, various drives etc.)

COMPUTER SPECIFICATION FOR AUTOMATIC DISPENSERS:

·  Processor of speed 2600 Mhz or more ( Intel, AMD).

·  At least 256 Mb RAM

·  Hard disc 40 Gb.

·  CD rom.

·  USB ports ( at least 4 )

·  2x COM (serial) port ( for connection of dispenser and scale).

MAINTENANCE OF AUTOMATIC DISPENSERS

MONIMATIC RONDO

·  The dispenser must always be plugged in, because it automatically mixes every 3 hours

·  The morning programme is performed when necessary or at least once in a week. If a dispenser is not used for one week, it is necessary to do the morning programme prior to first mixing.

·  Programme Manual cleaning step by step is used in case we see we have problems at dosage with a certain tinting paste – it doses diagonally, it doses in intervals,…

·  If you notice that a dispensing nozzle is fully dried, it should be taken out and cleaned with water or exchanged with a new

·  Programme Exchange of a washer is performed half a year, when it is necessary to exchange the sponges – tapes, which are in the washer, otherwise we check once weekly if sponges are damp enough and we moisten them, if necessary

·  In the drop-catcher for catching last drops there must always be some water and a wire on it must work freely, therefore there should be no tinting paste particles on it

·  Before you pour a new tinting paste into a canister, it should be obligatory mixed in a shaker

·  When we pour a new tinting paste into a canister it is necessary to enter new quantity into programme ( Dispense manager / Tools / Colorants )

·  The minimal temperature for smooth functioning of a dispenser is 10°C, otherwise it reports an error and the system is blocked. In this case we wait for the temperature in the room to increase or with heat a mother board for example with a fan heater.

·  A knife for piercing cans should always be clean, otherwise it does not make adequate openings.

BANCO, D200

·  The dispenser must always be plugged in, because it automatically mixes every 3 hours. Each day after the performed work you should only switch off the computer.

·  When you open Heliomix programme or Corob Driver, you always have to set up the connection with a dispenser ( Proceed with initalization )

·  Programme of cleaning the nozzles ( Proceed with nozzle purge ) should be performed at least once weekly or before tinting, if you have not used a dispenser for long time

·  You should clean the sponge in the cover for closing the nozzles regularly EACH DAY and moisten with water. It should be exchanged once in a half of a year (valid for water-based system – dispenser with 16 canisters)

·  If you have a water-borne and solvent-borne mixing system ( dispenser with 24 canisters) it is necessary to exchange the sponge EACH WEEK and you should also clean and moisten it with water EACH DAY.

·  When you additionally pour tinting pastes into canisters (beforehand you mix them in a shaker) it is necessary to enter the new quantity into the programme. This you can do in the programme Corob Driver- levels, where you mark the tinting paste, write down the added quantity, confirm with Add and at the end still with OK. The programme is blocked, if only 500 ml of tinting paste has remained in the canister. You pour into the canister each tinting paste separately according to the above described procedure.

·  At the instalation of new dispensers it is necessary before filling into canisters to mix them manually.

·  At the additional pouring of tinting pastes into a dispenser you should care that you always pour it through a plastic part (vane) and that the maximum level of tinting paste is 5 cm from the top of canister

·  The lowest temperature for problem-free operating of a dispenser should be at least 15 °C.

MAINTENANCE OF MANUAL DISPENSERS

HERO, EASY COLOR

·  The dispenser should always be plugged in, as it mixes itself automatically every 3 hours (valid for Easy Color, Hero has basic mixing settings each 4 or 8 hours)

·  Once in a month, if necessary clean outflows of tinting nozzles with water (possible dried particles of tinting pastes )

·  If you tint large packaging check prior to tinting if there are enough tinting pastes in the canisters.

·  You have to pour into additionally tinting paste, when you notice a low mixing shovel in the canister

·  Before you pour tinting paste into canister, it should be mixed in a shaker (exception is the instalation of a new dispenser, where you mix pastes manually beforehand)

·  When you tint larger quantieis ( over 1 Y ) wait before dosage some seconds so that the front cylinder – pump is filled with a tinting paste

·  After you finish with tinting, press the front black button and only after that you let the handle into the basic position (valid for Hero dispenser )
