MAT Affiliations

Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers
All members of MAT automatically become members of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers (AAMT). This gives members access to the publications in the AAMT catalogue, journals, and participation in national conferences and activities at reduced rates.

Network of Education Associations in Tasmania
The Network of Education Association in Tasmania (NEAT) works for, and on behalf of, professional groups on matters that impact on Associations.

Membership categories

Concessional membership is available to unemployed or retired teachers. Please contact the membership secretary to arrange a concessional membership.

Student membership is available to school students and/or University students. In the case of students, proof of student identity is required.

An institution or corporation may become an institutional member.

  • Australian Mathematics Teacher

Articles and classroom ideas focused mainly at the secondary level. Four issues per year.

  • Australian Primary Mathematics Classroom
    For Primary and Early Childhood teachers. Four issues per year with articles and practical classroom ideas. Also useful to lower secondary teachers.
  • Australian Senior Mathematics Journal
    ASMJ is concerned principally with mathematics at the senior secondary and undergraduate levels. Two issues per year.
