PMOS Nomination Form December 2016

PMOS Nomination Form December 2016

Unofficial Nomination Form
Project Management and Oversight Subcommittee (PMOS)

Please return this form as soon as possible, but no later than 8:00 p.m. Eastern, Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Please use the electronic form to submit a nomination. This unofficial version is provided to assist nominees in compiling the information necessary to submit the electronic form. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Barfield-McGinnis at (404) 446-9689 or Soo Jin Kim at (404) 446-9742.

The PMOS is seeking to fill one to three positions. The PMOS works with NERC staff to support industry subject matter experts in all aspects of standard development. This includes advising and supporting standard drafting teams (SDTs), enhanced periodic review teams, and special projects to achieve standard goals specified in the Reliability Standards Development Plan. The PMOS reports to the Standards Committee (SC).

The PMOS maintains and updates a Project Tracking Spreadsheet, which shows the expected and actual project milestones for each project. In addition, the PMOS works with NERC staff in maintaining a deliberate pace of development, while staggering posting periods of projects to ensure there is no industry burden during comment periods. Each project has an assigned PMOS liaison, which reports updates during meetings and conference calls to PMOS.

By submitting a nomination form, you are indicating your willingness and agreement to participate in the PMOS meetings if selected by the subcommittee officers. If selected, members are expected to attend most of the face-to-face PMOS meetings, as well as participate in all the PMOS meetings held via conference calls. The time commitment for this effort is one face-to-face meeting per quarter held prior to the SC meeting with four to eight conference calls scheduled as needed.
