Teal Realty has been in Acadiana for 30 years. Moved to Youngsville 1 ½ years ago. Metairie Center is a mixed used development designed to give Youngsville a center where businesses and residents can be together. Eric Rosen purchased 27 acres. In 2010, Walgreens and McDonalds opened. In 2012, building one began. Building One houses Anytime Fitness, Corner Bar, Planet Fitness, etc. Building 2 opened in November 2013. Building 3 opened in October 2014 along Centre Sarcelle which means Teal Center in French.
Metairie Center to date – 18 New Businesses, 9 under pre-lease. 120+ permanent jobs, 75+ construction jobs. 52,282 Square Feet. 85% of the tenants are Acadiana owned and operated, 9 are first time businesses. Smart Growth is what is driving our demographics.
Phase 4 is under construction and will have a park in the middle. Will also house some office spaces. Want to bring offices to Youngsville so people can work close to home.
In Late Summer 2015, will start working on Phase 5. Will have a 2nd level and a drive thru. It is already 50% leased. Interesting 2nd floor office space will be available.
2016 & on – More retail, 2nd story apartments, dedicated apartment building, performing space and green space.
