We are very pleased that you would like to facilitate a workshop at the Lean Summit Africa 2018 (LSA18). Please could you fill out the form below and e-mail it to our Marketing and Events Manager, Mia Faull at by 31 May 2018. If you have any questions about the Summit or this proposalyou may also call Mia on 0788270179.

Once you have submitted the proposal our LSA18 committee will evaluate it, along with other proposals, and inform you no later than 31stJuly 2018 of their decision.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Honoraria for workshop facilitator are not provided. However, full conference registration will be awarded to each presenter (a maximum of 1 per presentation unless notified otherwise).
  2. The submitted proposalabove is provided to the Lean Institute Africa (LIA) under the following terms and conditions:
  3. The Summit Committee, at its sole discretion, will determine the acceptability of the submitted proposal. In addition, the Summit Committee will determine whether to publish or not to publish the workshop material either in whole or in part. LIA agrees to provide the author of the submitted material appropriate credit if the paper is published.
  4. Authors of the submitted material freely give to LIA permission to publish the submitted material in any media so selected free of any compensation and/or royalty claims.
  5. Authors of the submitted materialaffirm that the submitted paper does not contain confidential and/or proprietary information not owned by the author.
  6. Persons submitting a proposal are doing so with the understanding that they agree to abide by the conditions, deadline policies and the decisions of the Summit Committee.
  7. If for any reason an accepted workshop facilitator is subsequently unable to attend the Workshop, substitutions will NOT automatically be accepted and a proposed substitutefacilitator shall be accepted solely at the discretion of the Summit Committee.
  8. Presentations at the Workshops must be in Microsoft PowerPoint format and utilise the standard Summit template provided by the Summit Committee. The PowerPoint presentations will also be shared with Workshop delegates, following the Summit.
  9. A proposal should not be submitted unless the facilitator is available to appear 30 October 2018 and is able to submit the necessary documents for inclusion in the published Summit Proceedings by the deadlines given above.
  10. Under no circumstances should the Workshop room be used for direct promotion of a facilitator’s product, service or for monetary self-interest. For facilitators wishing to take up an additional opportunity of a sales promotion/demonstration, an exhibition of products and services runs alongside the Summit.   11. The participant agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Lean Institute Africa and its officers, employees, agents and representatives against any claim, demand, cause of action, loss, expense or liability on account of or related to the Summit or workshops, including but not limited to injury or death of persons or damage to property arising out of the acts or omissions of the applicant or its subcontractors, employees, or agents, in the performance of the Summit or workshop registered for, regardless of whether the party to be indemnified was actively or passively negligent. The applicant agrees that he or she participates in the Summit or workshops offered by the Lean Institute Africa at his or her own risk.
