Coaches,

Attached is information regarding the upcoming 2010 All State Banquet in Hilton Head, on Saturday April 17, 2010. Please mark your calendars now and make plans to attend! We respectfully request that you provide this information to all your families and especially your athletes so they may make plans to attend. This information will be available on the sc-swimming.org website. There are several hotels listed on the web site with rooms available. The breakfast for the swimmers will be held at the Aquatics Center.

Included in this packet are your reporting forms for SC Swimming All State Awards 2010. The book format will be similar to that of last year.

An official registration packet for the All State Banquet will be sent separately. Please remember that this year if you sign up a swimmer who does not attend your club will be charged for their dinner.

Coaches' Reporting Rules

SC Swimming All State 2010

Rules: Please adhere to these rules, if you have any questions, please contact Maggie Boliek:

1.Each form needs to be filled out.

2.It can be printed out and returned as hard copy, or,

3. can be filled out electronically and returned via email.

4. DO NOT FAX. (Does not come in readable).

5.Please fill out the top 10 and state record forms; we will cross check it with office file.

6.The “other” Awards space is for Academic All American, or anything else that your swimmer, club, and or coaches have received that we don’t know about.

7.This does not include the new 8/U “IM Tough" form. That goes directly to Tim Conley, Age Group Chair and those awards will again be distributed differently this year, and not at the banquet. The AG chair will furnish those names directly for publication.

8.If your submission comes back unreadable it will be returned to you to resubmit.

9.If you resubmit after the deadline, your swimmers will be ineligible. The deadline is hard.

10.Submissions after deadline will not be considered; we have to have time to purchase and plan awards. (Yes, this has happened.)

11. PLEASE remember that the rules changed years ago. Swimmers must have TWO triple A times to receive the award; you cannot receive it with a state championship/relay and one triple.

12.If your swimmer was also “AllState” in a second and younger age group, put an asterisk by his name. That is how he/she will be recognized for AllState in two age groups.

13.“Top 10” means achieving a National Reportable Time.

14.Remember report only Senior Sectional FIRST TIME Qualifiers (May 09 to present) and list the qualifying events. Age Group Sectionals are not included. Please tell your parents.

15. Finally: This is an honor system. We do not ask you to “prove” triples. Please understand that and ensure that the award means something to our organization. If there are questions as to the veracity you will be asked to prove times.

Recipients who are considered “AllState” receive gifts. Other reported swimmers (state champs, etc) are put into the book but are not considered “AllState” unless they make this gift category: (and you must make one of these three gift categories to get the free meal)

Gift to: (1) 2 Triple A times; (2) First time Sectionals Qualifier; (3) Graduating Senior
