In accordance to TTC’s request that all Canadian ranking tournaments do so,we are using the New 40+ Plastic ball.

Rule on Speed glues.

In keeping with the ITTF directive all Speed glueswill notbe allowed to be used in the league. A racket discovered using these substances will be banned from use within the league. A repeat offending player will be banned from the league.

Host Venue:Bridgeport Sports Club, Richmond (Monday & Wednesday nights)

Match Time:All matches will start at 7pm prompt

Warm-Up:Warm-up begins at 6pm Prompt(please do not arrive earlier unless wishing to pay an extra drop-in fee)

Note: Venue, tables and nets will be inspected and approved by RTTL officials before the start of the league

Schedule:Will be prepared and distributed at least 2 days prior to the start of the league.

Important:There will be no postponement of matches except in the case of severe weather and/or sicknessonly.

Written or phoned application for postponements along with the new match date must be approved by the league committeeat least 48 hours before the scheduled match date. A default win will be awarded to the opposition otherwise. All Matches must be completed by season end date.

Entry deadline:May 12th2016

System:3 member teams playing in the following order; A-X, B-Y, C-Z,B-X, A-Z, C-Y, B-Z, C-X, A-Y.

All matches must be played regardless of result. Every match win counts as 1 point towards the team’s total league points. A team can win up to a maximum of 9 points per match.

All teams can register unlimited amount of squad members, not registered with any other team.

No player addition to the team squad shall be allowed after the halfway point of the season without exception. Any additional players must also be BCTTA or any other Canadian or Internationally recognised associationmembers in good standing or they will not be allowed to play.

Divisional Format:

There should be a maximum of 8 teams per Division.

2 rounds will be played.

Divisional line-ups will be decided by the league committee.The league committee’s decision is final on this.

If applicable, the winners of Division 2 will be promoted to Division 1 for the following Winter season.

Also the bottom team in Division 1 would go down to Division 2 for the following Winter season if the division is at full capacity. This one up one down rule would apply to any other additional divisions. This arrangement may vary due to the number of entries.

Newly formed teams should expect to start in lower Divisions. Exceptions to this rule may occur at the RTTL committee’s discretion.

Eligibility:Must be members of the BCTTA or any other Canadian or internationally recognised association in good standing.

Fees:Each team pays $90 Entry feeand a drop-in fee per night/per player. The drop in fee will be $4.50 per player per night payable to the venue on match night. $5 rating fee ($3 juniors)per player must also be pre-paid per season.

Penalties:3rd time no show means expulsion from the league.

1. All matches must be played on time and in correct score-sheet order (unless by agreement from the opposition). There will be a five minute time limit allowed in between each match. If a player is not ready (or present) to play, then that game will be forfeit after the time limit has passed and the next match on the score sheet order shall be played.

The non-offending team may allow the matches to be played out of order at their discretion if opposition players are late etc. They do not have to do this however if they do not wish to and can claim points due to lateness.

If a team does not arrive with at least two players ready to play before 7:45pm this will be considered a no-show and the match may be claimed as a default win at this point by the ready to play team. A late 3rd player should also be there before 9pm otherwise defaults may once again be claimed for his/her matches if so wished by the non-offending team.

2. Each team will need a minimum of two players in order to complete the match, otherwise this team will be defaulted for that evening .

3. In the event of any no show a default score of 7-0 will be awarded in favour of the ready to play team.

4. In the event of a team expulsion from the league, all matches involving that team will be considered void.

Rules and regulations:ITTF Laws shall govern all play, except for counting match team points i.e. Team points = 1 point per individual match won added up to a final points total.

Individual matches to consist of best of five games of 11 points

TheRTTL appointed supervisor shall rule on the interpretation of all rules and regulations.The list of Supervisors can be found here ** above.

Any dispute of a Supervisors ruling can be appealed to the Chief Referee in writing. The Chief Referee’s decision is final. The Supervisor will be responsible for distribution of the balls and match slips, proper filling in of the match slips, have both captains sign them and submit them to the league statistician.

Players of both teams will take turns for umpiring making sure to fill in score sheet correctly and in its entirety. Failure to do this correctly may result in penalty points against.

League Statistician(s) will make up a league standing after each round and will submit results to BCTTA Rating Officer.

Umpiring guidelines:

All umpires, regardless of team affiliation, while umpiring must always act in a fair and neutral fashionwhile scoring(No applauding own teams play etc).
