Based on the priorities identified in 14-19 Strategic Action Plans and the local, regional and national priorities for the development of the curriculum 14-19, this survey lists some of the proposed themes. At this stage please tick all those you and your colleagues might be interested in. At the same time consider whether or not this is a priority for you and whether it is a theme that you have experience in and feel you could contribute to. The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete.

Although extensive, this is by no means an exhaustive list and we would welcome further suggestions and thoughts. It will inform the new consultancy and training support package provided by the 14-19 ‘Strategy into Action’ team in Hertfordshire from Autumn term 2008.

This programme of training will:

·  Support practitioners in the mainstream schools, special schools, FE colleges, and Education Support Centres. All aspects of the programme will be accessible to the alternative providers in the county.

·  Support all professionals working to deliver all aspects of the 14-19 agenda. These will include colleagues working for the education-business link organisations, from other HCC and CSF teams and personal advisers, curriculum support workers and consultants from Youth Connexions. Staff from other agencies involved in supporting curriculum development may also apply for the courses offered by the 14-19 Strategy team.

·  Complement the programmes offered to you by other training organisations at national, regional and local level. These include SSAT, LSN, Youth Connexions and other teams in the Standards and School Effectiveness group of Children, Schools and Families, Hertfordshire.

·  Incorporate different methods of delivery to meet the needs of individual institutions, consortia of organisations and strategic area partnership groups. These methods will include: institution-based training, consultancy, support networks, placements in industry, workshops and seminars, learning visits, coaching and mentoring, integrated courses, short courses and one day conferences. This will also include distance learning and e-learning through the dissemination and provision of information online.

·  Include (where specified) colleagues from the other counties in the Eastern Region and neighbouring areas.
