Purpose: / The purpose of this grant program is to improve the quality of programs for children in Head Start by reducing staff turnover and retaining qualified staff.
Priorities: / To supplement the salaries of Head Start staff.
Eligibility: / Funds are awarded to the 30 Head Start programs that have been participating in the program since FY1990.
Funding: / Each recipient may apply for the amount of funds awarded in FY2005 subject to appropriation in the FY2006 state budget.
Fund Use: / To supplement the salaries of Head Start staff (budget line items 1,2,3, and/or 4).
