FIG Technical Regulations 2007/8 and all FIG competition categories: IM IW MP TR GRP

Seniors: FIG 2005-2008 Code of Points

Youth: National Development AG 10 -11; Group 1 AG 12-14; Group 2 AG 15-17 - FIG Code of Points (AGC) 2005-2008 Appendix V National Development and Age Groups 1 and 2

Finals: National Development and Group1 – straight finals.

Maximum of eight competitors - two per category and per country. (Except host nation). Straight finals if less than 9 participants.

QUALIFYING ROUND

Maximum number of competitors per Federation: 2 seniors and 3 juniors per category.

FINALS

The best 8 competitors in each category with a maximum of two per country and category. (If the organising federation has not qualified, it may nominate up to 8 British competitors per category for the British ‘’Closed’’ Championships)

Straight finals if less than 9 participants.

MEDALS AND CERTIFICATES

Medals and certificates will be presented to the top 3 competitors in each category.

Certificates will be presented to all finalists.

A certificate of participation will be presented to all members of the delegation.

Entries must be registered and endorsed by the respective Federation

Provisional Entry date: 1st August 2008

Definite Entires/ Nominative: 1st September 2008

Entry Fees: £30.00 per competitor (£15.00 per second category) .

  1. FLOOR SYSTEM

Specific Warm Up and Competition Floors are supplied by GYMNOVA (UK) Ltd.

  1. TRANSPORT

Airports: Manchester Airport and East Midlands International

Train service:

British Gymnastics may be able to organise transport from the listed airports and thiswill beadditional cost. – Cost on application. To be paid for in Full by Friday 12th September 2008.

Please inform us by 1st September if you require Airport transfer.

  1. VISA

Participants, who need a special invitation or confirmation to obtain a visa for Great Britain, should contact British Gymnastics as soon as possible.

  1. ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation may be booked independently or through the organising committee. If you require accommodation please contact British Gymnastics by 1st August 2008. To be paid for in full no later than 1st September 2008.

  1. PAYMENTS

Delegations to cover its own cost for travel, accommodation, catering and entry fees.

100% of the entry fee and accommodation costs (if booked through British Gymnastics) must be paid by 1st September 2008, unless otherwise stated. All payments are non-refundable.

  1. INSURANCE

Each Federation is responsible for its own insurance cover including accidents, illness, repatriation etc. Verification of Insurance Certificates will be made at accreditation.

  1. MUSIC

CD’s must be submitted at accreditation for each routine, clearly marked with competitor name, competitor number, category and country.

Licensing Laws prevent Music from Disney, Andrew Lloyd-Webber or Cirque du Soleil from being played at the 2008 British Championship.

  1. JUDGES

At least 1 FIG Brevet Judge per federation
