SALES AGENT OF THE YEAR - METROPOLITAN


CATEGORY DETAILS
The Australian residential property market has undergone great change in recent years, creating new challenges for residential sales agents. A disconnect between vendor expectations and market performance has forced the agent to re-educate both sellers and buyers in order to complete a transaction.

However, smart agents have quickly adapted to market challenges with a focus on building client relations, business-to-business partnerships and extending referral/repeat business opportunities.

This award acknowledges the residential sales agent in metropolitan Australia who drives excellent sales volumes and maintains best practice service at all times by utilising the various tools and resources at hand, while developing new and innovative business strategies to ensure future growth and development.

This is an individual award open to any metropolitan sales agent and is based on the period from 1 January 2016 - 31 December 2016. Metropolitan agents include all agents that operate inside the traditionally-defined metropolitan boundaries in the capital city of each state and territory in Australia.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Award based on the analysis of business metrics (including but not limited to sales volumes, total sales value, listings, business growth and conversion rates) as well as a detailed submission, which will be assessed by Real Estate Business Awards judges.

The combined score between these two components will determine the category winner.

AWARD SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The following outlines important information for all nominees. Please ensure that you read the below before completing your submission.

Submission Deadline

All submissions must be submitted through the eAwards Portal by 5.30pm on Friday, 28 April 2017.

Submission Requirements

A) Provide full business metrics and performance numbers; this must be entered through our eAwards Portal. Failure to provide full details may negatively impact your submission. All business metrics are strictly confidential and will not be published.

B) The entrant must submit a detailed submission that answers/addresses the points below (must not exceed 2,000 words):

1.  Highlight how you have structured your business and offering to service the needs of consumers.

2.  Demonstrate any market specialisation plus tactics, strategies and success in driving business from these area/s.

3.  Highlight innovation in your business and how that has impacted on business growth.

4.  Provide case studies or examples that showcase how you cater for the needs of clients and how that influences business success.

5.  Evidence any financial or business metrics with supporting documentation including audited statements, third party independent data reports or endorsements.

LODGING YOUR SUBMISSION

1.  Upload the required business metrics.

2.  Attach/include any required or relevant supporting documentation.

3.  Complete the submission through the eAwards Portal by 5.30pm on Friday, 28 April 2017.

Please note that all submissions are treated in the strictest confidence and only viewed by the Real Estate Business Awards judging panel.

Lodging multiple awards

While producing an awards submission can be a time-consuming process, there are ways in which you can reduce the work required. For example, you may be able to use the same core submission for a number of different categories, tailored to the specifics of each category.

NOTE: You will still need to complete separate online submissions for each award.

Supporting material

Please refer to any supporting material in your submission for judges to consider. This material may differ depending on the category and can include images, statistics, media coverage and other relevant information. Please do not provide supporting documents unless they are directly referenced and relevant to your submission.

Remember to evidence any financial or business metrics or statements with supporting documentation including audited statements, third party independent data reports or endorsements.

BUSINESS METRICS

Please ensure you submit your completed business metrics through the eAwards Portal. Your submission will be removed from the judging process should you fail to include the completed business metrics.
