APPRENTICESHIP / PAID INTERNSHIP JOB SPECIFICATION
Role Description / Reporting directly to the director you will be responsible for the marketing, PR and room booking system of South Street Studios and in particular the ‘South Street Venue’. Your role will include approaching and managing clients to use/rent our ‘South Street Venue’. You will also be integral to marketing and promoting the venue to a wider audience.

Marketing, promotions and Bookings Manager
This opportunity is to become a valuable member of the Out Loud Music team in Ipswich.
Out Loud Music are a leading provider in alternative education provision for young people with additional needs, from disadvantaged backgrounds and more.
We have recently secured funding to build a new music and media venue and we need you to help make this a vibrant, sustainable business!
From July 2016 South Street Studios (home of Punch Studios, Out Loud Music, Ipswich Community Media, IO Radio and Industry Education in Music) will be opening their new ‘South Street Venue’. This venue will be an all purpose music and media hub to run courses for the companies based within ‘SSS’ and more importantly a community resource to rent out to local businesses within Ipswich and the surrounding areas.
Your main roles will include building the South Street Venue brand pre-launch, organising an open/launch day for the venue and South Street Studios as a whole and approaching businesses pre-launch and post-launch to use the facilities. An integral part of the job will be managing our room bookings systems and acquiring new clients to use the space. You will be required to help with client database management and liaise with customers on a face to face via email and on phone.
This role is designed for an enthusiastic, well organised and pro-active person who is confident and capable to work equally within a team or on their own. Skills within media, marketing and PR are preferable however do not let this put you off. If you’re the right person, let us know why and training will be provided to help.
Work hours will normally be between 9-5.30 4 days a week however this may be adapted to suit workflow as the job evolves.
If you are able to secure a set amount of on-going bookings and help grow interest and awareness of out company there is more chance of a part or full-time job being created at the end of the 6 month period.
Successful applicants may be expected to undertake 1-2 weeks of voluntary work experience in advance of employment.
