Playzone Day Nursery @ Hedgerows Children's Centre
Playzone Day Nursery is situated within Hedgerows Children's Centre. We are a small friendly nursery with two main play rooms catering for children from two years to five years old.
Playzone day nursery is a 36place nursery which forms part of the HedgerowsChildren’s Centre. The nursery provides children with a caring, challenging and stimulating environment. Children are supported by a highly qualified and experienced staff team; nursery staff have knowledge and experience of many different areas of child development and special education needs. All children are assigned a key person; this helps children to become familiar with the setting and to feel confident and safe within it.
Our Comets Room caters for twelve two year olds. It has a bright main play room, sleep room and nappy changing/toilet facilities. Children have access to a safe enclosed garden.
Staff provide a bright stimulating environment for the children to develop within the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Our Starlets Room has provision for six two year olds and 18 three to five year old children. It is a bright room with access into a large garden space with a covered area for all year round play. A toilet area and quiet/sleep room is available for children to use.
Our qualified staff provide fun stimulating experiences to help the children to develop in readiness for school.
Music Go Roundvisits the nursery on a weekly basis. Children learn musical and social skills in a stimulating environment where they can express their creative talents whilst developing confidence. The music go round sessions are based on the EYFS and are designed to ensure that the early learning goals for music are accomplished.
The nursery has Smile award + accreditation and we offer children a wide range of healthy snacks and meals to encourage healthy eating.Menusare carefully planned, by our catering company, to ensure that they are nutritionally balanced and appealing to the children.
We have strong links with the local health visitors and children’s centre. Children are given access to the Hedgerows sensory room and attend activities in the children centre supported by nursery staff.
We offer 15 FREE government funded hours per week for three and four year olds, and eligible two year olds.
