PLAYSCHEME LEADER JOB SPECIFICATION

PURPOSE

To help deliver stimulating, fun, inclusive play opportunities to children aged 6 – 11 attending integrated playschemes. To work as a team alongside other playleaders, to facilitate the successful delivery of the playschemes.

REQUIREMENTS

·  To plan and organise variety of play activities.

·  To help deal with the physical needs of children where appropriate.

·  To supervise and ensure the safety of the children at all times.

·  To encourage the children to take part in activities but to also respect their freedom of choice

·  To encourage and support the children to develop friendships with other children

·  To read and adhere to Cheshire Community Development Trust and Control Child Protection and Health & Safety guidelines as well as those of the Community and school/venue.

·  To attend Induction training and any other relevant training prior to the scheme.

·  To be contribute to the planning and evaluation of the scheme.

·  To work as part of a team with other playleaders and co-ordinator.

·  Manage any children’s behaviour inclusive proactive way to prevent and exclusion.

PLACE OF WORK: Cheshire Community Development Trust Playscheme

TIME OF WORK: 9:45-12pm & 1-3:15pm

DATES: 18th July to 19th August

·  Friendly, feeling at ease with others

·  Enjoys being with children

·  An open mind, accepting other people’s different lifestyles, abilities, opinions and beliefs

·  The ability to work as part of a team
