August 2015 Newsletter

Note from Property Manager Nicki Leger. Greetings to all “The Plantation Owners”. The Board and I hope everyone has had a great summer. Now that school is back in session let’s please drive safely in our community and watch out for the children going and coming from school. Please contact me via email; or phone; (337) 849-0182. Please do not text.

Election: At the June POA meeting the Board elected officers for the upcoming year. Bill John – President, Cindy Rinardo – Vice President, Freddie M. – Secretary, and Nick Hundley – Treasurer.

Guest Parking: Each owner/tenant has two (2) reserved parking spots. Anyone having more than two (2) vehicles must use the boulevard for additional vehicles—not in the guest/visitor parking areas. Owners are responsible for their tenants who do not comply. The fines will be strictly enforced for anyone violating this rule. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact Nicki.

Lawn Service: We have had several complaints about the current lawn service. As of August 15, 2015 A Cut Above will no longer be servicing us. We hired a new lawn service called Lafayette Specialty Lawns and the start date will be Thursday, August 20, 2015. They will be on property every Thursday thereafter. If anyone has any suggestions, complaints, or concernsabout our new lawn service please contact Nicki not the vendor.

Pool area: The fence has been painted and pool closures replaced. On Tuesday August 18, 2015, Lafayette Locksmith will rekey the lock by the 201 section & on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 they will rekey the lock on Williamsburg Cl. On Saturday, August 22, 2015 Nicki will issue new keys at pool from 10am-12pm. We ask that everyone please make arrangement to pick up your new key(s)—Keys will not be mailed.

Tree Debris: There will be no longer a designated area for tree debris. It has become a problem of the owner/renters placing large tree limbs, bags of leaves, and other debris in the boulevard area, behind the 209 section and over the drainage areas. Homeowner’s from this point on will be responsible for debris disposal.

Driveways: Repairs in the area between the 204 and 206 is scheduled for the week of August 17-21 (weather permitting). We ask that everyone please cooperate with the contractor.

Architectural Committee: The Architectural committee has recommended SW 7509-Tiki Hut as a new color for exterior siding. The Board has approved this new paint color and it will be added to the Approved Material List on our website. Also, we would like to welcome Michelle Girouard to the Architectural Committee and appreciate her, Michelle John and Barbara Duhon for their assistance.
