Holiday Camp Volunteer Application Form 2017

1. Please complete this form carefully and fully, referring to the ‘Role of a Volunteer’ document.

2. The deadline for submitting your form is Monday 20th March and you will be informed by April 2ndwhether you have been accepted. (it is possible to apply after this date if spaces are still available)

3. Approximate Dates for this year will be:

Camp for children and young adults at Ptich Sanatorium

Group 1 Saturday July 29th (from Manchester) to Saturday August 12th (to Manchester)

Group 2 Saturday 12th August (from Manchester) to Wednesday 23rd August (to Gatwick)

Volunteers going to work in the institutions at Zhuravichi and Vikov (only suitable for people who have significant experience in working with people with disabilities)

Z Group 1 Saturday July 22nd to Saturday August 5th (to and from Manchester)

Z Group 2 Saturday August 5th to Saturday August 19th(to and from Manchester)

4. On acceptance you will need to attend a residential weekend near Buxton on April 1st and 2nd. This is compulsory (and fun!) for volunteers who have not been to Belarus before. Accommodation free but a small contribution to food welcome! More details online.

5. You must raise £450, plus gift aid,(or a minimum of £500 if it cannot be gift aided) to cover your flight and accommodation at the camp. If you can raise more than this, fantastic! The extra funds will be used to sponsor a holiday for a disabled young person living in an institution in Belarus.

6. Please note that this role requires you to possess a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and be registered on the Update Service or to apply for a new DBS check.
