Plant ID powerpoint assignment
Using your packet of tropical plants, research the information that is needed to fill in the blanks of your packet and create a powerpoint that will include:
Common name
Scientific name
2-3 photos
Facts about life cycle, Identification of flowers, leaves, size, use, etc.
Use the type of information that is needed to complete the packet along with basic identification factors.
Next week, I will be choosing one of the best powerpoints that looks nice and has good information to be used as our week’s plant ID powerpoint. If your powerpoint is used, you will receive a 100 to replace any Classwork OR Quiz grade (sorry, not used for tests though).
All projects will be graded according to the rubric/guidelines on the back side of this paper.
Remember to save your work by email or on a flash drive…DO NOT SAVE on the computer & expect it to be there tomorrow. It will erase itself when re-booted.

The following information must be included for each plant
20 points each plant: may have 3-4 slides of information per plant
3 points Common Name (Spelled correctly)
3 points Scientific Name (Spelled correctly)
4 points Photos (2 required)
4 points Attractiveness of the powerpoint.
Colorful
Readable (size of fonts)
Do not cram tons of information on one slide in tiny text
6 points Information about each plant
Type of plant (tree, bedding plant, foliage plant, shrub, etc.)
Life cycle (evergreen, annual, etc.)
Identification points (leaf color, flower color, size, growth habits, etc.
Any other useful facts
20 Points total per plant
