Objectives (Explanation, Application, Synthesis) / Hot-Shot:
The Class will align in a single file line starting at the free throw line and extending back towards the half court line. The first two players in line will have a basketball. Player one will shoot a free throw. If he makes it he goes to the back of the line. If he misses it he will run down his rebound and continue to shoot the ball from where he catches each rebound until he makes it. As soon as player one misses his 1st attempt player two shoots his free throw attempt. If he make his shot before Player 1 in front of him makes his shot. Player 1 is knocked out of the game. Each time you are knocked out of the game you have to do some type of exercise before reentering the game. 1st time out is 10 pushups. 2nd time out is 20 jumping jacks. The 3rd time out is 30 sit-ups. Then the cycle starts again. At the end of class the person who is knocked out of the game the least is the winner. / Pins:
The class is divided into two teams, separated by center line which cannot be crossed by any player. Five bowling pins are given to each team, and they must be placed along a line at an appropriate distance from the center line (same distance for both teams). The object of the game is to knock down all of the opponents’ bowling pins or get all opponents out. If a player gets hit, he/she stands against the wall, closest to center line. The next player out stands beside the first, so that a line begins to form in order. The referee normally stands at center to monitor the “out” lines. Players can protect the bowling pins, but must remain standing. Accidental knock downs count, and bowling pins cannot be reset (they are simply rolled out of playing area). If a player catches a ball, he/she indicates that and the first “out” player can return to the game. The thrower of a caught ball is out. Missed attempts at catching result in an “out”. Game ends when all bowling are down or all players are out. / Hot-Shot:
