Evaluateways to reduce the level of algae in the pond. Will an Aerator help byincreasingthe level of oxygen in the water?Comments from Ben Nugent, NHF&G Biologist. presents a strong case for aeration. -The club asked if anyone would like to research aeration methods including their cost and effectiveness. Seth mentioned that we used to have an aerator but some members thought it warmed up the pond too much. There should still be power available near the pond to hook up a new aerator. We discussed running the aerator at night or perhaps underwater to prevent the pond from heating up.

• Identify upcoming expenses andresources
• Develop an annual budget: Matt/officers
• Pond Security and dealing with Church members and non-church outsiders

For those of you with videos of personal fishing experiences on tape or professional CDs, please let Wally Marcella know as we are always looking for presentation ideas.

Fly tying sessions are being planned again for this year on the 3rd week in Nov. So get your equipment out and think about patterns you want to learn.

The business meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM, followed by the presentation. Mark Foley of First Cast Fly Fishing presented a 60 minutes slide show about D.I.Y. (Do it Yourself) Fly-Fishing Alaska and British Columbia. At age 29, Mark left the corporate world and spent one year hiking and fishing the Andes Mountain Range. He is a former Argentina fly-fishing lodge manager and a NH licensed fly-fishing guide. During his presentation, he took us on a fly-fishing journey from New Hampshire to the Alaskan Arctic Ocean. We saw spectacular pictures of the mountains, wildlife, and of course, lots of photos of wild trout, salmon and steelhead. Lastly, Mark shared a few secrets on how to travel on a dime, yet travel in comfort.

Respectfully submitted,

Walter Marcella, President

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home. ~Roderick Haig-Brown, Fisherman's Spring, 1951
