Feb’ 2004 –Mar 2005

/ Established my own business in Denmark in the form of an Internet Café named Cyberx Net Café. The entire technical work was implemented by me from designing the network to the wiring and the NOS implementation, firewall, and Internet connections. The system was comprised of 15 work stations and one server. I manage the entire business by myself.

Sep’ 2002 – Sep’ 2003

/ Worked in a medium sized firm as an IT manager and a Network administrator for a firm called Energienshus in Denmark. My task was to manage the HP serverrun on Windows 2000 advanced server NOS, operating on the premises and the 42 (PCs) workstations distributed around the offices in the building. I was also responsible for the H/W maintenance of the work stations. Providing other support to all users such as the installations of software packages and helping others with certain software problems.

/ Worked as a member of the Tech support team for the Municipality of Copenhagen, supporting 3 educational institutes that have Windows NT based networks.
Nov’98 –June’ 99 / Worked as the chief editor of a Danish news paper called “Avnstrup Voice” this paper was produced in English, copies of all issues produced by me are available upon request.
Apr’ 98-Nov’98 / Worked with SCI (Sun Coast International) a transportation company in Memphis TN/USA as the IT Manager, I also developed a database application for their invoicing and planning system using clipper compiler. I was entirely responsible for all computer-related matters in the company. I also designed and implemented a new 10 computer 100BaseT network for the company replacing an old network that was both slower and out of date.
Dec97 till
April 98 / Started working for ALECSO (Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization) as a computer consultant with a one year contract that ended in Dec 1998). I interrupted that work and left to the USA, to find better work opportunities.
Jan’95–Dec’97
/ January 1995 I started working with Terranova Petroleum Services Ltd. This multi-national company specialises in the environmental protection by supplying high tech methods for the treatmentof drilling wastes “cuttings” produced by other oil drilling companies. My duties in the company were as follows:
I was entirely responsible for all matters related to the company's computers such as maintenance, repairs, operations, spare parts purchases, accessories, software, and programming of all IBM and Macintosh computers and peripherals available to the company. I was responsible for designing project maps and site locations for the company's new projects using Macintosh PowerPC 8100/80 computer.
I was responsible for calculating budgeting and per meter cube costs of the company’s service project offers.
I was responsible for the design and tuition of computer training courses on various applications for the company's staff as well as other oil company's staff, since the introduction of that service in June 95.
Dec’91-Nov94
/ I established a computer hardware & software services company as I changed my place of residence from the UAE to Tunisia. The four main activities of this company were as follows;
Computer consultations for various firms and organizations.
Training courses on PC operating systems and major applications.
Programming different applications for clients in the dBASE & Clipper language.
H/W and S/W maintenance.
I was actively involved in all of the four functions of the company.
1981 Till Oct. 1990
/ On February 1st, 1981, I Started working with ZADCO Oil Company Abu Dhabi-UAE in the Telesystem Dept. Specializing in the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), which is part of the SCADA (System for Control and Data Acquisition) I remained in that post for a period of two years based onshore. During that time I was acquiring O.J.T. training for the recruited post. In 1983 I was transferred to Zakum Oil Field, to resume my duties as a member of the RTU maintenance team, One year later I was promoted to the RTU supervisor post. I was then promoted further and was transferred to the town of Abu Dhabi in the main office which was my final post with the title of Telesystem Senior Hardware Engineer when I resigned from the company on October 1990.
Description: The (RTU) stands for Remote Terminal Unit, Which is a micro-computer based on the 1802 micro-processor and is designed to collect data from the Well Head Platforms in the oil fields, And then transmit this data to Master Terminal Units (MTU) Which are located on distant satellites (other oil field platforms). The RTU's can also perform output controls by means of Status toggles and analogue outputs.This is part of a large SCADA system designed for control and data acquisition. The nature of my duties then were as follows:
To supervise and participate in all maintenance activities, such as preventive & corrective maintenance. All administrative tasks, such as subordinate paperwork i.e. rotation schedules, time sheets, mission orders, planning modifications, etc.
Organize the dynamic stock inventory of spares needed for the maintenance activities by utilizing an IBM PC, using programs, which I developed on dBase III plus database.
