NOTICE OF RACE

RULES

This event will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2017-2021(“RRS”)including US Sailing Prescriptions.

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

This event is open to all single hull boats no matter club affiliation holding a valid PHRF certification issued by the YRA of LIS.

Provisional ratings may be obtained for this event by contacting SYC Fleet Measurer, Mort Fortgangat .

Eligible boats may enter by going on to Link for Regatta Tech Entries must be receivedno later 19th of July2017. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Fleet Captain.

Saturday, July 22nd1000 Start time Available for each boat will be available on scratch sheet and will be emailed to everyone entry before the race.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The sailing instructions will be available no later than 1900 on June 15th 2017 atclub website

ENTRIES. Eligible Yachts must be entered by completing the online registration form at club website and at no mail in’s will be accepted.

VENUE

Sprint type races for Non spin and spin boats. Racing area- Located approximately 1.0 NM NEof the Port Jefferson Harbour East Breakwater.

DIVISIONS

Each boat will start at an individual prescribed time per the scrat sheet. First boat over the line at the finish will be the winner. We will have spin and Non spin Divisions. In each of these divisions we will have a women’s team sub division scored separately.

Women’s team –

To be qualified as a women’s team 50% of the crew must be female (Round up to nearest person). The skipper of the boat must be a woman and must drive from 5 mins after start or the whole race if comfortable.

Results-

Results and daily first glasses will be handed out back at the club immediately following racing.
