Registration & Selection Process

for Season 1 2017

Timeline:

  1. Registration opens – 22 October 2016
  2. Registration closes –22 November 2016
  3. Team Selections – early December 2016
  4. Players notified of team, training day, time – week 3 – December 2016
  5. Training commences – week starting early February 2017
  6. Games commence – TBC – February 2017

  1. Players registering after 22 Novemberwill be placed on a waiting list and will be put in a team if/or a place becomes available.
  1. Any queries with regards to the registration process should be directed via email to and will be responded within 3 days.
  1. Team selections will be held December (date TBC) at Cheltenham Community Centre.
  1. Training Dates & Times will be confirmed via your coach.
  1. Team Selections commence when the registration process is completed in conjunction with coaches and facilitated by the CCC netball co-ordinator.
  1. Team selection decisions are based upon the following principles.

7.1: Every player registered during registration week will be considered for placement in a team in their correct age group.

7.2: Player placement in an older age group team will only be considered if a place is available, and the correct age group team is filled.

7.3: We are bound by KDNA by-laws and players cannot be placed in older sections if they are not deemed the correct age as of 30TH June 2017.

7.4: Teams will consist of 8–9 players.

7.5: Player selection in 11@u, 13&u, 15&u, 17&u is based on player’s overall ability for the playing level of the competition, and positional ability for team balance. Additionally, we are bound by the KDNA Rep rule as stated in the KDNA by-laws document regarding the number of KDNA representative players in each team (see:

7.6 :Requests from parents regarding their child will be considered in the following areas – training (day, time and availability), car pooling and playing with friends.

7.7: Players who have been selected to play in an Association Representative Team will be given the opportunity to play in an A-grade team, or the highest level team in their age group in the Club pending the Rep ruling which we are governed by.

7.8: Consideration will be given as to how best to develop a player, for example; players considered to have a higher level playing ability may be given an opportunity to play in a higher level team if possible.

7.9: Players in NETSETGO will be given the opportunity to play with friends wherever possible depending on the number registrations for the age group.

7.10: Coaches will assess each child on the following areas

  • Footwork
  • Speed and Agility
  • Ball Handling Skills
  • Attacking Skills
  • Defending Skills
  • Perception/Cognition Skills
  • Sportsmanship and Attitude / participation at training etc

Information to be considered when registering with CCC Bolts Netball Club

  1. The cut-off date for age limits for the 2017 Spring Season is 30th June 2017. Therefore your child must be that age or under to qualify for the following divisions: 11&u, 13&u,15&u,17&u. To be eligible for NetSetGO competition girls need to be turning 8 in 2017.
  2. Competition Game Day is Saturday at Dales Park South Oakleigh on Warrigal Road.

CCC Refund Policy

for CCC Bolts Netball Club
If withdrawal from a player registration is made prior to team selections, CCC will refund any fees paid, less an administration fee of $20. Fees cannot be refunded when the withdrawal is made after team selections. In the event that a player cannot be placed in a team with CCC Bolts Netball Club a full refund will be paid.
