CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

ANTI-BULLYING POLICY

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012 (Child Protection Policy) & DepEd Order No. 55, s. 2013 (Anti-Bullying Policy), this High School adopts the guidelines promulgated in compliance, to wit:

  1. RATIONALE:

To strengthen child protection mechanisms and positive discipline advocacy, this institution and learning embraced the promotion of the right of all school children which will improve further a child’s development, school readiness and sustainance with the hope to enhance learning outcomes regardless of his/her socio-cultural identity and religious background. Exploitation, abuse or bullying may entail discrimination and/or dropping out of school. Education should respect culture, language and values, thus, eventually the school can adopt specific needs through cultural context.

  1. Provision on Prohibited Acts

The anti-bullying policy adopts the following provision to prohibit the following acts:

  1. Bullying on school grounds/campus;
  2. Property immediately adjacent to school grounds;
  3. School activities whether in or off school campus;
  4. Use of technology or electronic device of any source at any time.
  5. Bullying at any activity by students if the act or acts in question crate a hostile environment to a school child which disrupts the child’s education process.
  6. Retaliation against a person who reports bullying or witness a bullying incident
  7. Provide a range of disciplinary actions/sanction by perpetrator within the scope of school rules and regulations
  8. Submit referral to proper agency of government (DSWD, police, NGO) for more appropriate intervention with parental guidance/consent.
  1. Procedures, Strategies and Mechanisms

The PimNaHS Child Protection Council adopts the following procedures and strategies:

  1. Acceptance of bullying report/child abuse
  2. Head of school/designated school personnel handle the issue promptly for evaluation
  3. The Child Protection Committee convene for investigation
  4. Gathering data, witness, reliable information on the case
  5. Notify parents/guardians of result
  6. Call attention of the perpetrator for appropriate action
  7. Counseling sessions for the victim and perpetrator/the bullied and bully
  8. Reconciliation of parties
  9. Keep record of the case, provided, such will be strictly confidential.
