Lab attendance is mandatory and is a factor in your grade. Lab information and schedules are available at http://panda.unm.edu/regener/lab/

* Scheduled absences:

If you cannot make it to your usual section, attending a different lab section is highly desirable. Contact me BEFORE the class meeting to make sure there is room. If you wish to attend a lab that is not taught by myself, contact BOTH TAs before the appropriate times.

Unscheduled absences:

Unscheduled absences WITH A VAILD EXCUSE must be made up in the following week. Contact me to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Unexcused absences:

One unexcused absence will cause your final grade to drop one letter grade. Two unexcused absences will cause you to fail the class.

 Lab workbooks are available at the Bookstore. You are required to purchase one before second week’s lab. First lab manual will be handed out in class. Please read the material before class. At the beginning of each class there might be questions about your preparation. Remember to bring a calculator to class.

 Please turn in your lab reports at the end of each lab. They will be evaluated and returned at the following lab.

 Grading:

Your final grade will be determined based on your attendance, your performance in the laboratory including teamwork, and your submission of satisfactory lab reports or lab journal. Grades will be whole letter (A, B, C, D, F). The grade of A+ will be reserved for exceptionally meritorious performance.

Way to get an A: - Do not miss any labs (neither physically nor mentally)
- Hand in clean and completely filled out lab reports
Ways to get a B: - Miss one lab without excuse
- Two unacceptable lab reports
- Poor attitude or non-participation
Ways to fail: - Miss two or more labs
- Even worse attitude

 Qualified students with disabilities needing appropriate academic adjustments should contact me as soon as possible to ensure your needs are met in a timely manner. Handouts are available in alternative accessible formats upon request.

 Always feel free to ask questions and if you have concerns you think we cannot meet, please don’t hesitate to talk to the Lab Supervisors in room RH 113, phone 277-2751. Office hours Mo-Fr 1-5pm.
