MSP Staff Physicians’ Contracts up to 50% Time

MSP Staff Physicians’ contracts that are variable up to 50% time should reflect an hourly salary if base pay only is paid.

The External Earnings clause does not apply to MSP Physicians’ contracts at less then 50% of full time.

BASE PAY ONLY

For the purposes of UCRP covered compensation, the position is assigned to Manager and Senior Professional Salary Grade [Insert Salary Grade Letter], with an hourly base pay rate established at $ [Insert Dollar Amount]. Changes in salary, other than those necessary to maintain member at the minimum of the assigned Salary Grade, shall be only by contract revision.

BASE PAY AND NON-BASE PAY

For the purposes of UCRP covered compensation, the position is assigned to Manager and Senior Professional Salary Grade [Insert Salary Grade Letter], with an hourly base pay rate established at $ [Insert Dollar Amount]. For purposes of non-base pay, the position is assigned to Staff Physicians Salary Grade [Insert Salary Grade Number] with an hourly non-base pay rate established at $ [Insert Dollar Amount]. Therefore the combined base and non-base hourly salary rate is $ [Insert Total of Base and Non-base Pay]. Changes in salary, other than those necessary to maintain member at the minimum of the assigned Salary Grade shall be only by contract revision.

SPECIAL PAY PLAN PAY

This member shall also be eligible to receive additional compensation under the Department of ______Special Pay Plan. This Special Pay is provided for extra work performed in addition to the percent of pay earned under this contract.
