Physical and Chemical Changes Poster
Directions: Create a poster, which illustrates what you have learned about physical and chemical changes. You may use your notes, computer ortextbook as a resource. You may also create powerpoint slides for this project. Print your slides out on a separate sheet of paper if you are choosing a powerpoint.
The following can be used to help you with your poster or powerpoint.
- Slide 1: Title, class period, and one picture
- Slide 2: Define physical change
- Slide 3: At least one picture example of matter changing shape. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
- Slide 4: At least one picture example of matter dissolving. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
- Slide 5: At least one picture example of matter changing state. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
- Slide 6: Define chemical change.
- Slide 7: At least one picture example of matter changing color. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
- Slide 8: At least 2 pictures: one for matter gaining energy (heat being absorbed)and one for matter releasing energy (heat being released). Include a description of the pictures/clips and explain why they are good examples of the sign.
- Slide 9: At least one picture example or video clip of odor. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
- Slide 10: At least 2 pictures or video clips: one for matter forming a gasand one for matter forming a solid. Include a description of the pictures/clips and explain why they are good examples of the sign.
- Slide 11: At least one picture example or video clip of not easily reversed. Include a description of the picture/clip and explain why it is a good example of the sign.
