Strategic PROPOSAL/Content Writer

MarketStar is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized content writer. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team, the Strategic Content Writer will primarily create sales proposals written in a persuasive style – to new prospects and existing clients. This person will manage the RFP/Proposal process along-side our Business Development representatives, and act as project manager for many proposals. They will also coordinate with other MarketStar departments to develop proposals, executive client presentations, graphics and other special assignments which will assist in closing new business opportunities.

Duties also include the creation of compelling content in various forms including website, eBooks, Whitepapers, and outbound communications. This person must meet stringent deadlines with a superior degree of professionalism, precision and creativity.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing and project management experience and skills, and enjoy working in an intense, client-focused environment. An understanding of channel sales and marketing concepts and processes is a plus. This position requires a keen eye to detail and document/presentation layout.

Typical duties include:

·  Creating high-impact customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantages of our products

·  Creating sales presentations and quarterly client strategy sessions using competitive, consumer and market data to increase product adoption

·  Manage RFP process by accurately reviewing requirements, proposal deadlines, stakeholder contribution, and on-time delivery of final documents

·  Develop sales presentations to win business with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies

·  Creating market focused content to better reach target industries

·  Creating and managing high-impact product collateral and web site content including print, eBooks, whitepapers, case studies, customer videos, and any other product marketing content

·  Interact with Marketing on campaigns, provide input as subject matter expert

·  Maintaining a thorough level of understanding of our business, marketing materials and business jargon, the unique point of difference and our products and services

·  Coordinating closely with Marketing, BD, IT, Client Services, and the Executive Team

·  Demonstrate impeccable organization skills and ability to curate content

·  Able to effectively multitask several unrelated deadlines simultaneously

·  Produce copy, proofread, and edit content for a variety of purposes

Education and Experience

·  BA/BS in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field

·  1-2 years professional experience in technical writing

·  3 years professional persuasive writing experience preferred

·  Ability to work well under extreme pressure and tight deadlines

·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·  Proficiency with Adobe – particularly Illustrator and Photoshop

·  Design background preferred, but not required
