China International Photographic Art Exhibition held by China Photographers Association is the largest international photographic event with the longest history in China. Since 1981, CPA has already held 12 exhibitions. We totally received around 200,000 works shot by 50,000 photographers from 100 countries and regions all over the world. China International Photographic Art Exhibition has great influence in the world.
“2009 China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition” will be held at Lishui city, Zhejiang province, China in November 2009. The exhibition has got the patronage of FIAP(the International Federation of Photographic Art). The awarded and accepted works could apply for the FIAP distinction.
China Photographers Association and Lishui People’s Municipal Government, Zhejiang Province sincerely invite all photographic organizations, professional and amateur photographers and young photographers from all over the world to submit entries to “2009 China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition”.
1. Rules1)The purpose of the exhibition is to present theachievement on photography in these years around the world, and bring in forth the talents of photographers on photography in different themes, styles and schools,in order to promote the exchange of photographic art among the countries in the world.
2)Prints previously accepted in the international exhibitions held by CPA are ineligible.
3) The sections are(a) Color (b) Black and White(the prints will be judged by the topic). Around 380 photos will be selected for the exhibition.

4) The theme of the photos is open. Entrants could use any method to adjust or create the photos.
5) The size of the print: general print, 10 inches (25cm)by longside. Square print, 8X8 inches(20X20cm). Panorama print, 20inches( 50cm) by longside. Prints cannot be mounted.The amount of the entries is not limited and the series photos are not accepted.
6) Fill in the entry form. Author’s name and address, the title, the category and serial number of the works should be clearly and legibly written in capital letters on the back of each entry, corresponding with the entry form.All the works sent by mail as Printed matter with the mention: “Photographic works for China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition only, will be returned to sender – No Commercial Value”.

7) The photographers abroad could sent digital format to attend the exhibition. Please send the high resolution JPEG format file, no less than 2400 dpi by long side, and the entry form to the e-mail box of International Liaison Department of China Photographers Association( , ). The topic of the e-mail should be “ the name of entrant+ country/ region).

9) The organizer reserves the right to use any accepted and awarded works in related publicity, exhibition etc. without payment in any form.
10) All works will be handled with utmost care, but the organizer won’t answer for loss and ruin or any unexpected loss of the works in transport.
11) It is understood that the author submitting his/her works to the exhibition accepts the rules mentioned above. The author will be responsible for the portrait right, copyright and fame concerned in his/her works. If bring any economy lost or reputation affection to the exhibition organization committee, all the responsibility also will be beared by the author.
12）The result of judging will be informed on the website of “China Photo Press”, “Popular Photography” magazine and “ Chinese Photography” magazine. Catalogue of the exhibition will also be published.
13) All those that violate the rules will not be judged.
14) The China 13th International Photographic Art Exhibition Organization Committee has the final explaination right for the exhibition.
2. JuryThe judgment is on the principle of opening, fairness and justice. The jury of the exhibition consists of at least 11 photographic experts from all over the world.
Other awards:1) Judge’s Special Choice Award
Each judge selects one print that he likes best according to his/her aesthetic conceptions. The prints showing the individuality and diversity are encouraged.
2) The Excellent Organize Work Award for the exhibition
10 organizations will be awarded for their excellent organize work for the exhibition.
Other explainations:1)We will invite the chairman of the organization(one person) which win the Excellent Organization Award come to Lishui to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition and have a photocreation in China for one week. We will bear all the expenses including food, accomodation and transfer during his/her stay in China, and the international travel fee has to be born by himself/herself.
2) In order to increase the mutual communication between the exhibition and photographer, the organization committee will select one person from the award winners to be the jury of the next exhibition.
3) The photographers who have won the Gold , Silver and Bronze Medal will be invited to the awarding and opening ceremony of the exhibition and have a photo creation in China for one week. The organizer will bear the expenses including food, accommodation and transfort of the visitors during their stay in China while the international travel fee have to be paid by themselves.
4) Each entrant whose print(s) is/are accepted will receiverelevant CPA certificate and FIAP medal. All the entrants will receivean attractive catalogue.
