Course: Driver Education Grade: 10
Course description:
The PHS driver education course is designed to help unlicensed drivers become familiar with the basic rules of the road so that they can successfully pass the written test required to earn a permit and eventually a driver’s license. The course covers all topics in the New Jersey driver’s education manual, which includes but is not limited to, NJ traffic laws and regulations, the roadway system, the effects of alcohol and other drugs on driving performance, and natural conditions that impact driving. The course will culminate with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s written knowledge exam.

1. What is necessary to be successful in our transportation system?
2. What rules of the roadway must you know in order to be a successful driver?
3. What knowledge is necessary to pass the NJ MVC written knowledge exam?
4. What rules are applicable in the GDL program?
5. What resources can students use to study for the written knowledge exam?
