- CDG Website: The website was still being updated by Ed but due to various work roles Shiv would be hoping to ensure that this continues and a meeting hoping to be held with Ed to get up to date with the workings of the website until we can get the new secretary in place, Shiv then .stressed to clubs that if anyone knew of a relevant person to take up the role please let us know and will shall endeavour to meet.
- Treasurer’s Report: David Allen had sent his apologies for the meeting but had sent a email with details of funds Balances at the meeting did include various outstanding bills to be paid for courses which included the Child protection course held at Steetan.
Balance at the Bank at 31 January £2,630.20

Steve then spoke to the group regarding the Cricket Activator workshop which could be accessed for All Stars Clubs but a great opportunity to offer volunteers training at the clubs
The Group discussed what clubs needed and the possibility of running a First Aid course (Steetan were keen to host and David Procter offered to organise on behalf of the group.) as well as a Safe Guarding if required as this could be done online.
The secretary would send an email out to all clubs with details of preferred dates possible first two weeks in March
. Subsidies were available for Clubs who wished to attend any educational course (see policy statement below).
Subsidies for Courses – “Any courses done by members of CDG Clubs are eligible for a CDG subsidy”. This will depend on the Course and will be based on the level of subsidy previously agreed at the Group’s meetings, Note from the Chairman clubs wishing to access the courses must ensure payments are received in advanced to be guaranteed a place.
- YCB Update: Steve Archer sent his apologies but Steve Coultard was on hand to go through a report for the group as follows –
Mark then outlined to the group on Y.C.B. updates.
- Club mark – Re-accreditation can now be done online. Steve spoke to the clubs and anyone wishing to take up the offer would need to start thinking of getting all the required information now as once the process begins it would be a short period and window of opportunity for a site visit ..
- “All Stars” – The clubs wishing to take up the offer of All Stars should ensure all paperwork was ready as the deadline date for the online information and Club spark would be the 31 January , Crossflatts and Great Horton Church, Sutton and Salem Athletic hosted All-Stars centres last year and all agreed well worthy of continuing on but added benefits of volunteers as well as increased membership and revenue .. Clubs could now go online and use the website for updating DBS and the question was asked how they could this be done and how to be a verifier-Steve updated the clubs with a number for All Stars Clubs but the question would be asked to Steve Archer or the Y.C.B to help support the clubs in the group.
- Chance to Shine – This was on-going with schools being signed up for the scheme but with the cost now of £150 schools were reluctant to sign up with only half of clubs being signed up from last year. The sessions were being run by Pro-Coach in the Bradford Area ,whilst this was all agreed an essential part of school club-links, concern was voiced by a few of the clubs regarding access to the youngsters and migration to clubs a brief discussion around this and access to junior teams was major concern ,clubs in the past had sent their own coaches and questions were asked by one of the clubs why this was not the case ,Steve Chair would go back to Steve Archer and Pro-coach to see if we could help solve the problems by better linking in with the programme .
.● Woman and Girls
Soft Ball festivals- Yorkshire Diamonds Roadshows -Y.C.B. continue to support the girls soft ball festivals with various road shows for the Yorkshire Diamonds being run over the county if any club wishing to take part in any of these please contact the Y.C.B. or the Chair who would be glad to help.
● Grant- Funding The E.C.B. small grants scheme was now available details could be found on the Y.CB. website with various targeted groups and priorities for clubs to be looked out the chair then spoke of using the money wisely and possible may looked on more favourable if clubs looked at projects that were of a lower cost than the maximum to give more clubs the opportunity to access funding. The chair then said if any club wanting a letter from the group with support then this can be done, and details could be passed on if required.
Crossflatts then mentioned the Yorkshire Sport Foundation details can be found on the website which they were hopefully accessing with Steve Archer providing support, Steve would be contacted by Steve and the chair to further information as well as support. NatWest cricket force continues to be a key part of club funding and again this year a Jewson account are parts of the scheme Clubs wishing to access this should sign up immediately, so they are not disappointed.
