PHASE/LEVEL SYSTEM

The Phase/Level System provides students the opportunity to work through the Capital City Prep Program by receiving progress feedback on a daily basis. Students earn points according to their behavior each class hour and lunch for a total of 100 points daily. Every two weeks, points are averaged and phase/levels are posted on the bulletin board where students enter the building. Phases/levels may increase or decrease by one phase/level each change. The five phases/levels are: Orientation, Transition, Learning, Progress and Graduation.

PHASE SYSTEM

Phase / Avg Daily % to Maintain / Avg Daily % to Go Up to Next Phase / Avg Daily % to Lose Phase
1 / 1-79 / 80-100 / -
2 / 80-84 / 85-100 / 1-79
3 / 85-89 / 90-100 / 1-84
4 / 90-94 / 95-100 / 1-89
5 / 95-100 / 1-94

An unexcused absence results in a “0” for that day on the point sheet.

Students with more than 2 excused absences will not be allowed to move to the next phase.

Students with 2 or fewer excused absences can move to the next phase if their daily % allows it.
