Educational and Professional Qualifications /
Essential
/ Hons degree (2:2 or higher) in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.Desirable / Higher degree in microbiology/molecular biology or other relevant discipline (or be in the final stages of completion)
Previous Experience/
Training /
Essential
/ Skills and experience in at least two of the following areas: Culture of cell lines; culture of micro-organisms; flow cytometry; microscopy; biological sciences; extraction/recovery of biomolecules; project management/implementation.Experience of working in a research laboratory.
Desirable / Extensive experience cell culture and associated testing of compounds
Extensive experience of flow cytometry analysis of samples
Experience of advanced microscopy
Experience of Mass Spec Imaging
Postgraduate research experience in microbiology or biochemistry
Experience in Project management/implementation.
