Standard role-based competencies

Essential

  • Evidence of excellent media production IT skills particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects and Photoshop
  • Evidence of digital channel management software skills such as content and contributor management systems, social media networks, evaluation and analytics tools
  • Demonstrable experience of film and digital media production, including story boarding, scripting, directing, filming and editing of footage and motion graphics design
  • Demonstrable experience in the production of digital media assets such as podcasts and audio slideshows
  • Demonstrable experience of using data to analyse and review media products to make practical recommendations to improve and optimise future outputs
  • Demonstrable experience in setting-up customising, optimising, maintaining and updating accounts on digital media sharing platforms such as YouTube and Flickr

Desirable

  • Demonstrable experience in composition and production of music soundtracks
  • Demonstrable experience in the governance of film and digital media assets, including archiving and cataloguing
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing working practices that ensure all content is accessible, appropriately branded, high quality and delivers effectively against agreed objectives and targets
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting a high performing network of internal and external content contributors and devising and implementing appropriate governance and working practice to support their activity
  • Demonstrable experience of providing outstanding client service and account support to internal stakeholders including planning, developing, implementing and reporting on content projects to achieve objectives and targets
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the development and delivery of content training programmes and producing training and best practice guides and reviews
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting the planning, delivery and analysis of film and digital media content within business units throughout the organisation – working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of digital media sharing platforms to meet objectives and targets, stimulate interactions and an understanding of how to manage relationshipsand communication within these interactions
  • Experience of training and supporting others
  • Knowledge of legal compliance, accessibility and usability standards in relation to the use of film and digital media assets online

Travel and residence
