Permission Form to Leave School after Exam Period has Ended**

Exam Information:

  • Students may leave early after the exam period has ended with parental permission only. The parent will have to arrange transportation and the student must leave campus.
  • Students must turn in a signed copy of this permission form to their last exam teacher each day in order to leave campus prior to 2:20.
  • Any student leaving after the exam period has ended must stay off campus and cannot return to ride a bus. They will not be permitted to “hang out” on campus, which includes the media center, commons, gym, basketball court, etc.
  • On June 1, Seniors who are exempt from their 2nd period exam will be finished with exams at approximately 10:00am. On June 2, any Seniors who are exempt from their 4th period exam will be finished at approximately 10:00am. On these days, any Senior who does not have permission leave campus early will attend their 2nd and 4th period class respectively.
  • On CTE exam days (June 3 and 6), students who only need to take the first exam will be finished by approximately 10:00am. Any student who does not have an exam and does not have permission to leave campus will be supervised in the auditorium until 2:20 when busses depart campus.
  • On EOC exam days (June 7, 8, and 9), exams will end around 11:45 followed by lunch and a supervised “Flex Period” in the auditorium until 2:20pm. Any student who does not have permission to leave campus will be placed in the auditorium until 2:20 when busses depart campus.
  • If a student does not have an exam or exam review scheduled for a specific period or day, s/hedoes notneed to be on campus. If a student is on campus, s/he must remain with his/her assigned teacher for that class period.

I understand that I am responsible for my child’s transportation. I understand, that by my signature, my child must leave school grounds and he/she may not ride the bus home on that day. I understand that if my child remains on campus, he/she will have to be in study hall in the cafeteria and can only be released if I, the parent, sign him/her out at the attendance office.

In signing this release, I agree to hold harmless Wake County Public Schools, Rolesville High School, and any of its agents in case of accident, injury, illness or death.

** This form must be submitted to the student’s teacher on each day that you are authorizing early release from school following the exams on June 1-2 (Seniors ONLY) and June 3-9 (CTE and EOC exams). If a student leaves campus and fails to submit this form, s/he may face disciplinary action which could carry over to the 2016-2017 school year. Students are not permitted to return to campus after leaving.
