JOURNALISM

OUTLINE:

Concerned with the preparation of written material for publication in newspapers, books, magazines and journals, including the writing and production of pieces for television and radio. Includes researching, interviewing, writing and editing to fit plans and deadlines.

  • Be exposed to a variety of reporting situations and write reports on them

  • Practice good grammar and proper spelling

  • Service advertising accounts with tear sheets and data

  • Provide cost analysis to advertisers

  • Check in on court cases, police checks, and other newsroom activities
