Article I

Name

Section I. The Name of this Organization shall be the

______Computer Science League of Learning______

Article II

Purpose

Section I. The Purpose of the Computer Science League of Learning is to promote collaboration, networking, and promote new opportunities to graduate students interested in learning about the latest research in computer science, computational science, and related information on tools and technology.

Article III

Membership

Section I. Membership shall be open to any graduate member of the Tufts Community who has paid the Student Activities fee.

All member who serve as officers must be in good standing with their respective graduate program in order to run for an officer position (See Article V for a listing of officer positions).

Article IV

Meetings

Section I. Meetings will be held on a regular basis during the academic year. An officer meeting will be held at least two weeks prior to any priority funding deadlines in order to plan and budget for the events to take place during the upcoming semester.

Article V

Officers and Elections

Section I. The officers of the organization shall be the President, Vice President, Secretary, andTreasurer.

The responsibilities include and are not limited to the following.

President

  • Lead and prepare agendas for general meetings
  • Send out a newsletter advertising events to members.
  • Make sure the organization stays up to date and in good standing as stipulated by the Graduate Student Councils rules and regulations.

Vice-President

  • Setup and maintain a mailing list
  • Maintain and update a website.

Secretary:

  • Keep a log of meeting minutes of any meetings that occur.

Treasurer

  • Keep a log of the events that occur, fill out event report forms.

All officers are to actively recruit new members, advertise events, be in attendance at events, and take place in meetings regarding planning and budgeting of events prior to the Fall and Spring semesters. All officers are encouraged to plan and take ownership of events.

In the event that the President is not present, the Vice-President will take over the responsibilities of the President.

In the event that any officer position is vacant(other than the President), the responsibilities fall onto the President of the organization.
