PUPIL PREMIUM for Vulnerable Pupils:
Many schools have been allocated additional funding to support vulnerable pupils. Children in Care are vulnerable pupils and should benefit from the school Pupil Premium allocation.
LAC Pupil PremiumPlus:
Specific targeted funding to raise the attainment of each individualchild in care. It is a requirement that the use and impact of this money on attainment is recorded on the PEP. Guidance available at
16 – 19 Bursary:
Children in Care attending post 16 education are entitled to 16-19 bursary worth £1200. It is based on attendance and is paid pro rata in regards to either a full time or part time course. Application needs to be made directly to the college or post 16 education providers. Money is paid into young person’s bank account and is there to support travel and equipment to improve education progress.
University and Higher Education Funding:
Applications for courses are made via UCAS and finance applications by university student finance. Young people are also entitled to the Haringey HE bursary of £2000 over duration of course. See Haringey HE policy. Register for more details at

At the end of each school year, the school ought to send the End of School Year report to the Social Worker to be uploaded, for safekeeping, onto Framework-i. The child/young person may want to refer back to their school reports in later years.
