Position:
The CaliforniaStateUniversity, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Career-level Quality Assurance Analyst to provide technical automation support for the Common Management Systems (CMS), the system-wide PeopleSoft Oracle implementation.
Duties:
Under general supervision of the Manager of Technical Services, will work collaboratively with teams that support CMS databases and applications within the department, at the CSU campuses, and with program vendors. This position is responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance standards, processes, procedures, and metrics that will enhance system performance in this multi-site 24/7/365 environment. The Quality Assurance Analyst will design, write, and execute test plans, test cases, procedures, scenarios, and automated test suites. This position will also provide administration and technical support for PeopleSoft Oracle databases and other projects as needed. The Quality Assurance Analyst will provide coverage for after hours and on-call support as required.
Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. Three to five years experience designing, developing, and implementing software development processes and procedures is required;two years experience with PeopleSoft or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package, strongly preferred; must have basic experience in Oracle database administration and experience using configuration management, defect tracking, debugging, and testing tools such as Win Runner, Bug Tracker, +1 CM, PS Script, and/or PCVS preferred; ability to assist in trouble-shooting, quickly identifying problems and developing practical and thorough solutions; extensive working knowledge of quality and testing disciplines, industry direction, business functions and team/project management; ability to mentor others in writing of test cases, test plans, test scripts, and all Quality Assurance deliverables; fundamental knowledge of statistics and strong analytical skills;strong end-to-end software development process experience; excellent people and communication skills in order to work collaboratively with customers and other members of the technical team; strong written communicationskills in order to document automation procedures;excellent attention to detail and solid organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio required; valid California driver’s license required.
