Dr Graham Hill
Child Sexual Abuse: ‘The Perpetrators Perspective’
Dr Graham Hill is a Criminologist and a subject matter expert in relation to the behaviour of child sexual abusers and non-familial child abductors. He is a former senior detective and was the founder and first Head of Behavioural Analysis for the UK Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre (CEOP). Graham’s investigative career and research background gives him a unique perspective of sexual crimes against children and he lectures internationally on a wide range of interrelated subjects. He is a member of the British Society of Criminology and a Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds University in England

Hugh Davies QC
Human exploitation: converting words into action
Hugh Davies qualified as a barrister in 1990 and was appointed QC in 2013. He specialises in criminal law; proceedings related to the police (misconduct; crime; inquests; public inquiries; and co-authored the OUP practitioner textbook relating the same); and child exploitation and safeguarding. He delivers training as to internet based offending and child exploitation to other practitioners, the judiciary, and associated professions, and prosecuted the first cases nationally of grooming and allowing the death of a child. He was made an OBE for services to children and young people in 2011. As a member of the ACPO multi-agency group he led the report that produced substantive reform to the civil prevention order regime in 2014 under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Peter Spindler
Operation Yewtree: A Watershed Moment
Peter Spindler joined the Metropolitan Police in 1985, after graduating from the University of Warwick. In 1998, he was seconded to the Regional Crime Squad and was promoted to Detective Superintendent in 2000, whilst on the National Crime Squad, where he took on the national lead for combating child abuse on the Internet. In 2002, he returned to the MPS to lead on pro-activity and major investigations for the Child Protection Command. As Detective Chief Superintendent, he took the lead for all child abuse investigations in London in 2004. He has had three postings as Commander at New Scotland Yard; Covert Policing, Director of Professional Standards and head of Specialist Crime Investigations, where he took the national lead for Operation Yewtree. Peter is now retired and is a senior policing and safeguarding advisor
