Lab Group Participation Rubric

For every lab, each group member will be assigned a task to do. On the table below write the name of the group member under his/her assigned task. (Since we do labs almost every week, group members have to rotate tasks every week). Each member should self-evaluate him/ herself according to the rubric to receive a maximum of 10 points for participation. Teacher reserves the right to change evaluation when he/she does not agree with student’s self-evaluation.

Tasks:

·  Reader: Reads lab procedure out loud to group members. Indicates materials needed to organizer and checks that planner carries out the lab correctly.

·  Organizer: Obtains the required materials for lab which includes chemicals, lab equipment and sets them up.

·  Planner: Carries out the lab (other members are required to help if necessary).

·  Cleaner: Disposes of materials and cleans lab area. He/She makes sure that all group members leave lab stools under lab station, lab aprons and safety goggles in the correct location. He/She also records on this page if any lab materials were damaged or broken.
