MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: Jeromy called meeting to order at 12:04 p.m.

MINUTES: May Meeting Minutes approved

WELCOME: no new members to welcome

TREASURER: Mike –

-  Books are current

-  Bank statement reconciled

-  $16,985

-  $335 deposits

-  $1080 golf

-  $11,622 conference received

-  $14,625 bank account

-  Healthy balance of $12,574

-  $12,709 total available

VICE CHAIR: Jan –

-  This month an email invite was sent

-  New website invite will be sent for next meeting in October

POSTAL CO-CHAIR: Micki for Cathy –

-  Stamps for Business Customers

o  Business Customers can purchase stamps directly from USPS Stamp Fulfillment Services (SFS)

o  2 Options - Expedited Service or Standard Service

o  Business mailers must establish an automated clearing house (ACH) account or wire transfer funds to SFS. For additional information, contact Lisa Albright (816) 545-1282

-  Domestic Mail Manual Streamlined

o  The previous chapters 200, 300 and 400 have been consolidated in a revised chapter 200

o  Chapter 100: Retail Letters, Flats and Parcels - redundant language has been eliminated

-  PCC Day is Sept 9th

o  To earn a National PCC Week Professional Certificate you must meet the following requirements:

§  Participate at a local National PCC Week event and listen to the USPS Officer/Executive/Speaker Remarks

§  View the pre-produced Postmaster General’s keynote address

§  Attend an educational workshop of their choice at a local National PCC Week event

-  Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive May 2014

o  USPS collected 72.5 million pounds of food

o  StL branch 343 collected 418,048 lbs

-  Pricing Adjustments

o  Priority mail price adjustments/decreases in September

INDUSTRY CO-CHAIR: Jeromy –

-  Great conference – thanks for all of the volunteers!

-  Need to build on attendance next year

-  PCC Resources

o  Updates from Postal Forum

o  Charitable endeavors

-  We like to support the Lake Conference, no meeting in August

-  PCC Day – Sept 9th

o  Normally $25/person at NDC/park

o  Should we change it up? Possibly go to a new venue such as Busch Stadium or Missouri Athletic Club

o  Took a vote for the ability to mitigate up to $2000 for a new venue

§  Vote approved, John Sertich made a motion, Mike Ford second

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE:

EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Peggy S –

-  Certificates from the conference have been mailed

-  EMCM has more discounts now

-  Mail Piece Design – we should have a renewal class every two years

GOLF: Don –

-  Golf in the fall? If so, Oct 1 or 15

-  Should we go back to Spencer T. Olin?

NEW BUSINESS: John Sertich –

-  Should we create a survey for feedback from conference?

-  Possible focus groups?

-  Invite new members to have lunch with us. Have a small focus group after?
