ACQUISITION:The Alaska State Library received the original collection from Audrey Kolb, Library Coordinator for the Northern Region of Alaska in the Fall of 1992. Libraries and individuals have donated other photographs and slides and the collection is ongoing. Images are added to the file on a regular basis.

ACCESS: The collection is available for viewing, however, the photographs may not be photocopied.

COPYRIGHT: Request for permission to publish or reproduce material from the

Collection should be discussed with the Librarian.

PROCESSING: The photographs are organized within folders by town, date, or event. Some of the photographs are individually numbered. The photographs are sleeved in Mylar.

SCOPE AND CONTENTS NOTE

Boxes 1 and 2 contain b&w and color slides and photographs of libraries in Alaska with an emphasis on the northern regions. Community, school and academic libraries statewide, library staff and workshops are included, dating from the 1960's. People from the Alaska State Library in Juneau are also represented.

Box 3 contains images of library events around the state.
